Plastic Products Production Process

Plastic Products Production Process

The overall production process of plastic products is:

Selection of raw materials — coloring and matching of raw materials — design of casting mold — machine decomposition injection molding — printing — assembly and testing of finished products — packaging factory

1. Raw Material Selection

Choice of ingredients: All plastics are made from petroleum.

The raw materials of plastic products in the domestic market mainly include several raw materials:

Polypropylene (pp) : Low transparency, low gloss, low rigidity, but with greater impact strength. Common in plastic buckets, plastic POTS, folders, drinking pipes and so on.

Polycarbonate (PC) : High transparency, high gloss, very brittle, commonly found in water bottles, space cups, baby bottles and other plastic bottles.

Acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene copolymer (ABS) : resin is one of the five major synthetic resins, its impact resistance, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance and electrical

properties are excellent, but also has the characteristics of easy processing, product size stability, good surface luster, mainly used in baby bottles, space cups, cars, etc.
In addition:

PE main use products are mineral water bottle cap, PE preservation mold, milk bottle and so on.

PVC is mainly used for plastic bags, packaging bags, drainpipes and so on.

The main uses of PS printer housing, electrical housing, etc.

2.Raw Material Coloring and Ratio

All plastic products have a variety of colors, and this color is stirred with pigment, which is also the core technology of plastic products, if the color ratio is good, commodity sales are very good, the boss also attaches great importance to the privacy of the color ratio.

In general, the raw materials of plastic products are mixed, such as good gloss of abs, good anti-fall of pp, high transparency of pc, using the characteristics of each raw material mixing ratio will appear new commodities, but such commodities are generally not used for food appliances.

3. Design the Casting Mold

Nowadays, plastic products are made by injection molding or blow molding, so every time a sample is designed, a new mold must be opened, and the mold generally costs tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands. Therefore, in addition to the price of raw materials, the cost of the mold is also very large. There may be many parts to make a finished product, and each part needs a separate mold. For example, the trash can is divided into: the body of the bucket — the cover of the bucket, the liner, and the handle.

4.Printing

Printing is to add a beautiful appearance to plastic products. Here, it is noted that there are two parts, one is a large print paper on plastic products, and the other is a small area of spray printing, which is completed by hand.

5. Assemble the Finished Product

After the finished parts are printed, they are inspected and assembled before they are ready for delivery.

6.Packaging Factory

After all the work is done, the packaging is ready for delivery.
